Employee Stock Purchase Plan mobile app

An Employee Stock Purchase Plan lets staff buy company shares through payroll, usually at a discount, inside strict enrolment windows and limits. Mentarium built the mobile app an enterprise's employees use to enrol in the plan, follow it, see what they hold and transact, and kept it current as the mobile platform underneath it changed.

What employees can do

Enrol in the plan, access their plan details, see current holdings, and transact from their phone. Plan rules such as enrolment windows and contribution limits are enforced in the app so employees cannot get them wrong.

How it was built

First built cross-platform in Xamarin, moved to .NET MAUI as Xamarin reached end of life, and later migrated to React Native. A team of ten delivered the app across those generations.

The earlier app

For the same client, an earlier employee share-plan app had been built for a different region on Angular with the Ionic framework. The mobile app carried that experience forward on a current stack.

What changed

Employees manage their plan participation from a phone instead of through HR or a desktop portal, and the client has an app on a maintained technology base rather than an ageing one.
